Mobility rules

This section of the website provides guidance for International Mountain Leaders who want to provide services (‘to guide’) in another country than their home country.

At the end of 2022, the UIMLA has started a multi-year project (2023-2024) to collect this information and make it available through these webpages. We’ve started with European UIMLA countries’ rules for mountain leaders providing temporary services (not yet finished) and will be extending the information gradually to ‘UIMLA countries’ outside Europe.
