Risk Management Courses to Enhance Outdoor Adventure Safety for International Mountain Leaders Worldwide
The Union of International Mountain Leader Associations (UIMLA) is pleased to collaborate with Viristar to enhance safety in outdoor programs. Through this partnership, UIMLA members will have the opportunity to access Viristar’s Risk Management for Outdoor Programs training courses at a specially discounted rate.
These comprehensive four-week online trainings are now available to UIMLA members with a 20 percent discount, making them more accessible to professionals within our community.

The rigorous 40-hour training, delivered online throughout the year by expert Viristar instructors, combines self-paced study with seminar-style group discussions. Participants will engage with a wide range of critical topics, including incident prevention, safety culture, adventure standards, emergency planning, media relations, legal considerations, documentation, staff training and supervision, systems thinking, and much more.
