Organizations associating individual mountain professions have established the Union of Mountain Professions, which aims to increase safety in the Czech mountains and improve the quality of services in the field of mountain tourism. The Union will coordinate closer cooperation between organizations and will defend the interests of its members in negotiations and relationships with the state administration and local governments. The founding members of the Union of Mountain Professions are the Mountain Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, the Cable Transport Association, the Czech Mountain Leaders Association, the Czech Mountain Guides Association, EDUSKI Czech Republic.
The purpose of the Union of Mountain Professions of the Czech Republic is to more effectively represent the interests of professions associated with the Czech mountains so as to improve the quality of services and increase safety in the field of mountain tourism. The founding members of the Union are the Czech Mountain Guides Association, which associates together IFMGA licensed mountain guides, the Czech Mountain Leaders Association, similarly associating UIMLA licensed mountain leaders, the professional association EDUSKI Czech Republic, including accredited training centers, ski schools and ski and snowboard instructors, a key representative of rescue services in mountain areas the Mountain Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, and last but not least the Cable Transport Association, which brings together cableway and ski lift operators as well as the majority of mountain areas and ski resorts.
